Singer Josee Koning is the leading lady of Brazilian music in the Netherlands. Throughout her international career, she continues to create unique crossovers between jazz, Brazilian, and Dutch music. Jazz lies at the heart of her musical craftsmanship and determines her phrasing, timing, and improvisation. Josee has released 14 albums and is renowned for her velvet, expressive voice. She has performed at countless venues and festivals in Europe and Brazil and has worked with Brazilian legends such as Ivan Lins, João Bosco, and Dori Caymmi. In 2026, Josee presents 60 Years of Brasil ’66 – the Music of Sergio Mendes, a show with singer Egle Petrosiute, pianist Hans Vroomans, drummer Yorán Vroom, and bassist Matheus Nicolaiewsky.
